Researchers in India have long been intrigued by depression as a serious disorder. India has published a large number of studies dealing with various aspects of this commonly prevalent condition over the past 50-60 years. The untreated mental health issues of the world population account for 13 percent of all diseases, according to a report published by the World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO projects that mental health problems will become the leading cause of death and morbidity worldwide by 2030, particularly depression . In India, women of all ages are much more likely than men to die from depression. Depression occurs at any age in nearly twice the number of women as men. It is more economical and more effective to intervene at an earlier stage of these disorders. The vast majority of people suffering from depression fail to receive treatment even though there is a treatment for it. Numerous research communities and organizations are developing models of machine learning that employ psychological assessments and can determine whether or not the population has depression.
