Speech is one of the most natural ways for humans to express themselves. For communication among individuals, emotions hold a very huge importance, there by making detection and analysis for emotions is of vital importance especially in cases of long distance communications. Detecting and analysing emotions is a difficult process because of their highly subjective nature. We have designed our system as a combination of approaches to process, detect and classify speech inputs so to identify the speaker s emotions. A system like this might be useful in a number of situations, such as caller-agent conversations, professional communication, or home environment analysis.
